Send a Kid to Camp
The City of Dallas Park andRecreation Department offers a free six week summer camp at multiple locations throughout the city for youth ages 6 to 14. Send A Kid to Camp will begin on (2022 TBA). Camp will not be held the week of July 4th - July 8th in observance of Independence Day/week. All camp sites operate Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Our camps provide opportunities for children to disconnect from technology and become more physically active. Campers experience success and become more confident by participating in team and individual activities and develop a life skill and interest in something they had little to no experience in. In addition, our campers become more independent by learning to do things on their own all while improving their social skills and making lasting friendships.
Your child will be engaged in a structured and safe environment that provides a variety of physical and educational activities. Activities include arts and craft classes, sports clinics, fitness sessions, cultural and enrichment classes, games, and much more. Breakfast and lunch are provided at all SAKTC locations.
How to register:
Registration is open to all City of Dallas youth ages 6-14 and begins the first day of camp. You must be a City of Dallas resident to register in a SAKTC program. Students enrolled in Dallas ISD are required to bring a copy of a report card, and non Dallas ISD students must show proof of residency. Space is limited and filled on a first come first served basis. Arrive at the desired camp location on the first day of camp to secure your spot!
