The City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department contracts with the Texas Discovery Gardens to manage the day-to-day operations of the garden. Located in Dallas' historic Fair Park, Texas Discovery Gardens is a year-round organically maintained urban oasis filled with natural wonders and is home to the Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium, along with the snake and reptile shack, indoor axolotl tank, koi ponds, fountains, outdoor playscape, garden trains, many specialty outdoor gardens, art gallery and picnicking areas.
