I have a teacher who is willing to lead the program, but is not comfortable serving as the head coach. Can a parent volunteer as a coach for my school?
Yes, parents can volunteer to coach a school team as long as it is approved through the school’s principal and he/she goes through the necessary volunteer process for DISD. We do require though that the teacher serving as the leader be present at all games for the school.
