Dallas Park and Recreation brings home the TOMA Award

Dallas Park and Recreation Urban Biologist, Brett Johnson, was instrumental in bringing the TOMA award for Innovative Programming home to Dallas for 2019 with his digital presentation of the Dallas Park and Recreation Bioblitz Program this year at the Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute. This prestigious award has a strong heritage that dates back to 1978 and travels to the winning agency each year. It is won during Brag Night which essentially provides a platform for agencies to showcase their best practices, programs and projects which is intended to benefit other agencies that take ideas home to improve the communities they serve.
