Saturday, January 10th, over 600 community members came out and celebrated the reopening of Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center. After being closed for almost 3 years, the community was able to enjoy a variety of activities for the whole family. This center was originally opened in 1959 and is one of the last remaining renovations to be completed from the 2006 bond projects. Improvements include refurbished gym floors, redesigned multi-purpose room with wood dance floors, fully upgraded kitchen, updated control area with added staff work stations, new fitness center with state of the art equipment, new restrooms, wifi access, new paint throughout and a regulation indoor soccer facility. The staff at Pleasant Oaks are excited to begin offering programs such as After School Program, youth sports, Zumba, music classes, variety of dance courses, “Active Senior & Adults Programs” (ASAP), and Indoor Soccer for all ages and ability levels just to name a few. Come by and check out the new and improved Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center.
