The Dallas Park & Recreation Department is thrilled to present our 3rd annual "Holiday at the Farm", a festive, family-friendly holiday event at Samuell Farm!  Join us for a magical afternoon featuring an artisan gift market, food vendors, a holiday hayride, festive music and stage performances, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a snow hill and lots of reindeer games!

 Artisan Gift Market:  

Shop with local vendors offering a variety of artisanal goods and items.   You can complete all your shopping in one stop!  Payment methods accepted by vendors varies.

Food Trucks & Food Vendors: 

A variety of food trucks and vendors will be onsite providing mouth-watering creations and tasty treats!  Payment methods accepted by vendors varies.

Attractions:

We will have many attractions for your family to enjoy! Listed below are attractions at our previous events. This list will be updated as events and vendors are finalized. Most attractions are included with admission. 

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus  - Tell your Christmas wish list and snap a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus!  Limit of 2 photos per family.  Families are responsible for using their own device for photos.
  • Snow Hill - It’s not often you get to play in the snow in Texas but you'll have the chance to slide down a real snow hill at the farm! 
  • Holiday Hayride (ADDITIONAL COST) - Hop on and sing along to holiday tunes on this festive holiday hay ride taking you through the beautiful grounds of the farm.
  • Letter to Santa -  Take a moment to jot down your wish list and drop it in Santa’s mailbox!  He’s promised to send you a reply back in the mail 😊
  • S’mores Station (S'MORE KIT ADDITIONAL COST) - It may not be roasting chestnuts over an open fire but your kids will definitely be asking for s’more!  Pick up a s’mores snack pack at Santa’s Snack Shack and head over to the campfire to roast a mallow then put it together with chocolate and a graham cracker to make a yummy treat! FREE S'MORE KIT WITH A DONATION TO OUR TOY DRIVE. 
  • Ornament Station - Make a festive holiday ornament.   Choose from a variety of designs and then take it home after decorating to add to your tree.
  • Gingerbread House Decorating Contest - Compete with your family and build the gingerbread house of your dreams!   Judging will take place at TBA And winners will be announced at TBA. Space is limited – 1 gingerbread house per family.

Donate to our Toy Drive!

  • Holiday Toy Drive benefitting the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center: Bring a smile to a child’s face this holiday season by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center Toy Drive. Receive a free S'more kit for each toy donation!

Live Entertainment

Enjoy live performances and holiday music throughout the evening. 

Parking Information

Parking is free in two locations: 

  1.  ADA/Specialty Parking – located at the main lot for Samuell Farm.  Parking in this lot will require valid handicap-designated  
  2. Samuell Farm East - Field Parking -  grass parking lot located East of the main parking lot.

Parking along the access road of US-80 is strictly prohibited.
