Any individual perceived to be conducting personal training outside of these guidelines will be in violation of Dallas City Code 32-10 (subsection A) and be asked to cease and desist until an approved PSA is established with the department.

  • In general, most schools start the program by finding a teacher who is interested in being the lead for the program. The teacher will then identify days/times when the children will practice as well as send out an announcement recruiting youth for the program.

  • The cost of the program for each sport is $175 per team for each sport. For example, if a school has a boy’s and girl’s team and the cost is $175, the total cost will be $350. As far as payment is concerned, schools pay one of the following three ways: (1) With a school check from their activity funds or PTA, (2) a school check requisitioned from the DISD offices (City of Dallas has a vendor number), or (3) collected funds from the students.

  • Schools can register for the program by simply having the coach send the registration form via e-mail or fax to (214) 670-0388. Please be sure to indicate if your school is having a either a boy’s or girl’s team or both. Once the e-mail is received, an invite to the league’s coaches meeting will be sent.

  • Games are played on weekday afternoons at DISD Schools and City of Dallas Park and Recreation fields. Times of the games are 4:30PM (Girls) and 5:30PM (Boys). If the school has an adequate field, games may be played at their school as a home game. As far as transportation, schools and parents arrange car pools to all off site games. The league is set-up to have schools play schools which are near their area in order to minimize transportation.

  • Yes, parents can volunteer to coach a school team as long as it is approved through the school’s principal and he/she goes through the necessary volunteer process for DISD. We do require though that the teacher serving as the leader be present at all games for the school.

Youth All Access Pass

  • Up to 10,000 City of Dallas teens (age 13-17), can visit any Dallas Recreation Center & register for the Teen All Access Pass between July 1 - July 31 (or while supplies last). Acceptable forms of identification: parent/guardian identification, school identification or driver’s license. Teen must be present to register and receive the Teen All Access Pass.

  • Teen All Access Passes are valid from July 1st - July 31st. Some attractions may have extended visits through the end of August but you will need to read the fine print on the back of the pass for details about each location.

  • Once you have obtained a Teen All Access Pass some of our partners have restrictions for use such as admission only valid on a weekday, or advanced ticket reservation required before your visit. Pickleball

  • Pickleball is a  fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It can be played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and uses a slightly modified tennis net. Pickleball uses a specific paddle and a plastic ball with holes. The sport can be played in singles or doubles and enjoyed by all skill levels.
