Individuals may not bring in a personal trainer. All personal trainers must have a Dallas Park and Recreation Board approved Personal Services Agreement (PSA) with the Park and Recreation Department. All personal training fees will be paid by the client to the City of Dallas and the personal trainer will be compensated by the City for their services through the terms of the PSA. Any individual perceived to be conducting personal training outside of these guidelines will be in violation of Dallas City Code 32-10 (subsection A) and be asked to cease and desist until an approved PSA is established with the department.

You can use any fitness center if you purchase the Universal Pass. Otherwise, your fitness pass is only valid at the point of purchase.

No, permits are not issued for vendors selling these types of items. All Temporary Food and Drink Permits are issued for trailer type concessions. You may contact the City of Dallas Code Compliance for their requirements.

Yes, City Code Section 32-10 states that a person cannot offer for sale goods or services at a city park or another area under the control of the park and recreation board unless they have a permit. Such sales would include conducting a training program or boot camp. The permit for training programs (including boot camps) is an Outdoor Program Permit. Our Recreation Center summer camps are for children ages 5 to 12 years of age. Children must be 5 years of age as of 9/1 of the current school year. Children will be broken into groups based on ages. Some Recreation Center locations offer teen camps for youth ages 13 to 17. 

We are able to achieve our results by providing a safe, focused and engaging environment, free of unnecessary distractions for the campers such as trying to secure electronic equipment. For this reason, all audio/visual devices such as music players, headphones, cell phones, tablets, etc. should be left at home.

Recreation Center camp hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Discover Dallas camps are Monday - Friday 9am-4pm. Please know, all camps are closed for Juneteenth and 4th of July holidays. 

Online registration for Recreation Center Summer Camps is available. Parents registering online are required to contact the recreation center for information about the mandatory parent meeting and to complete the registration packets prior to the first day of camp. Discover Dallas camp locations cannot register online; registration must be in person. 

You can pay by check, money order, cash, or credit card. If you register online, payment must be by credit card.

Yes. All participants in the Discover Dallas Camp program must reside in the City of Dallas. A Dallas ISD report card or proof of residency is required at registration.

Lunch and an afternoon snack are provided at all Discover Dallas Camp locations. 

No there are no fees for your child to participate in the Discover Dallas Camp Program. Due to the contributions from citizens and businesses of the City of Dallas, the entire program is free.

Funds can be donated by clicking on our quick link and donating funds through the Communities Foundation of Texas. A donation of $30 will provide one child the opportunity to experience a summer camp full of enrichment activities and field trips

Dallas Park and Recreation Department offers and hosts a variety of sports for youth of all ages. Most sports programs begin at the age of 4 and are offered through the age of 14.

The cost for a child to participate in the Youth Sports program begins at $40 per individual. Price includes a uniform top with a number for each child. No equipment is included in the cost per individual.

A player’s age is determined as of September 1st of the current school year. Each sport is divided into age divisions based on every two years. Divisions are ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. 

Yes. Anyone that participates in a City of Dallas recreation program must purchase a recreation card.

Current pass holders may renew their recreation cards online.  New customers must purchase their FIRST Recreation Card at a recreation center.  Visit our online registration page to renew your recreation card.

Up to 10,000 City of Dallas teens (age 13-17), can visit any Dallas Recreation Center & register for the Teen All Access Pass between July 1 - July 31 (or while supplies last). Acceptable forms of identification: parent/guardian identification, school identification or driver’s license. Teen must be present to register and receive the Teen All Access Pass.

Teen All Access Passes are valid from July 1st - July 31st. Some attractions may have extended visits through the end of August but you will need to read the fine print on the back of the pass for details about each location.

Once you have obtained a Teen All Access Pass some of our partners have restrictions for use such as admission only valid on a weekday, or advanced ticket reservation required before your visit. Please read the fine print on the back of the pass for each venue prior to arriving for your outing.

Each qualified teen can be issued ONE pass. It is not limited per household. To qualify, the teen must be between the ages of 13-17 and reside within the City of Dallas.

Pickleball is a  fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It can be played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and uses a slightly modified tennis net. Pickleball uses a specific paddle and a plastic ball with holes. The sport can be played in singles or doubles and enjoyed by all skill levels.

A tee time can be booked seven days in advance either online, by phone, or in person at the Pro Shop.

Yes, at Cedar Crest Golf Course we have family tees to accommodate the large number of juniors and parents playing as well as at Stevens Golf Course.

Yes, players can walk, however golf carts are mandatory for all tournament/event players.

Golf carts can be reserved when booking a tee time online, by phone, or in person at the Pro Shop. You must be 18 years of age to rent a golf cart.

Golf attire is encouraged, and players are to wear shoes that are not detrimental to the turf. For example, baseball spikes, football, soccer, or high heel shoes are not permissible.

Yes, all golf courses offer golf lessons for all ages and levels of experience.

Yes, golf clubs can be rented. Please contact the course’s Pro Shop to ensure availability and reserve beforehand.

All golf course, except Stevens Park, has a driving range, and all golf courses have practice areas.

Cancellations and/or changes to tee time reservations cannot be made on the website and must be made by contacting the appropriate course pro shop or in person no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled tee time. Reservations not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will be subject to charge of $20 on the credit card used to book the reservation.

Tournaments and special events can be hosted either by the golf course or private entity or organization. Please contact the course’s Pro Shop for more information.

All food and beverage items must be purchased from the golf course food service. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Yes, whether you need a new driver or a new set of irons, our pro shops will have what you are looking for.

Once you complete a survey, your name will automatically be entered into the drawing for that month.

Drawings will be conducted monthly with the names from the surveys that were completed the previous month.

If your name is selected in our random drawing, you will win two complimentary green fees to be used at any City of Dallas Golf Course.
