How many games do we play and are there playoffs?: Each team will play 8 league games, usually one per week. Weeknight game times are 6:45, 7:45, 8:45 and 9:45. Sunday game times are 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00 and maybe 7:00 or 8:00. League champions receive a free entry into the City Playoffs in Spring and Summer seasons; any other team may enter the Playoffs for a $135 entry fee. There are no Playoffs in the Fall seasons.

1. Can I get my money back if I drop out?: If you sign up for a league and then decide to withdraw from the league, the Dallas Park and Recreation Department will retain $25.00 from your entry fee and refund the remaining balance if you withdraw within five (5) business days after registering. If you withdraw after five business days, the Park and Recreation Department will retain the entire entry fee.

2. How can I reserve a field for practice?: Reservations can be made on City of Dallas fields by contacting the Reservations Office at 214.670.8740. Evening reservations are $50 per hour (beginning at 7:00 pm); daytime reservations are $25 per hour.

4. When will league schedules come out?: League schedules will be posted on www.dsma.com about one week before your first game. Schedules will not be mailed. We will email schedules and revisions, so it is IMPERATIVE that we have a valid email address on file for the manager or player.

5. When do I get a roster and when is it due?: Roster forms are included in your registration packet or may be downloaded from our website www.dsma.com. A roster MUST be turned in to your scorekeeper on the FIRST NIGHT OF LEAGUE PLAY. Score-keepers will have the rosters at the field each night. All players MUST sign the roster before they can play. Players may be added/dropped through Game 6 (sixth game played).

6. Since this league is "ASA", can I use my USSSA Bat?: You can use any ASA bat that is on the current ASA approved bat list, and you can use any USSSA bat that is on the 2012 or newer USSSA approved bat lists. PLEASE NOTE: If playing in a USSSA-sanctioned tournament, only bats with a 2013 or newer USSSA stamp are allowed; i.e. any bats made prior to 2013 are not allowed.

7. What are some other things I need to know about the league?: • Make-up games will be scheduled on your normal league night, usually following the end of the season or in open time slots (e.g. 9:45); PLEASE NOTE: under extreme circumstances make-ups may be scheduled on a pre-designated Saturday near the end of the season.
• All league winners receive a team trophy and a set of 15 championship t-shirts.
• Each player’s shirt must have a number; permanent numbers are preferred, but tape or markers may be used on a temporary basis.
• Line-up cards may be obtained from the scorekeeper. First and last names and #’s are required.
• Batters will come to the plate with a count of “1 ball and 1 strike”. Coed Class D leagues will be given an extra foul ball; Men’s D+ and Men’s D leagues do not get an extra foul.
• BASE STEALING is allowed in all Men’s leagues.
