Dallas Park and Recreation Hosts Citywide Easter Egg Hunt
Kids, you are invited to a free citywide Eggstravaganza. New this year, Dallas Park and Recreation Department is hosting 42 simultaneous Easter Egg hunts at each recreation center around town. It all gets underway Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. – noon, with each egg hunt beginning promptly at 11 a.m.
“It was all done in an effort to make it more convenient for all residents to participate in one of our most popular annual traditions,” said Crystal Ross, Dallas Park and Recreation Department Assistant Director. “This new format is going to give everyone the opportunity to visit their neighborhood recreation centers and get more familiar with the facility, staff and programs.”
Approximately 75,000 eggs filled with candy, prizes and other goodies will be distributed throughout each recreation center. In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, kids ages 12 and under can enjoy free family friendly activities, class demonstrations, arts and crafts, and a special visit by Peter Cottontail. Kids don’t forget to bring your Easter baskets!
